Craig Mackay's Illustration Blog (pronounced MAC-key, not McKay)
My daughter's skateboard was "699." I get this.
I'm glad that someone was able to understand this painting on a personal level because I made it from that perspective. You may or may not be interested to know that the texture behind the character is a magnified view of pancreas tissue as if seen from under a microscope. Thanks for your comments!
wow craig...this piece is powerful and touching, especially when I know a bit of your history. You are truly inspiring to me. Congrats on the show.
I think the painting is too good to be stepped on..
impressive work, craig. wow

Neato!! Love the design!!
Update your blog, hermano!
wowowowowowowow i love this!
Thanks everybody, for your kind comments! The board was sold and so the proceeds will go to charity. I'm a little bummed because I was hoping to get it back if it didn't sell. I'll just have to make another I guess. :)
I really miss your positive influence here at DCP. Glad I got the chance to meet your wonderful Dad. Hope to see you soon.I don't feel the need to comment on your work. You already know that I love everything you create. I respect the honesty inherent in all of it. Hope the family is doing well.
