Aladdin Spying on the Princess

Here is a digital painting I did in Photoshop for Richard Keyes Color Theory for Entertainment class. The Siamese cat leering through the window is Aladdin [see previous post] who is unabashedly spying on the princess. It's at this point in the story that Aladdin, at the risk of being discovered and put to death, sneaks a peek and beholds the face of the princess and swears to marry her when he at once is consumed by her beauty. I don't pretend to be completely satisfied with this piece. I just have to keep posting so I won't lose my nerve to do so. As always, suggestions and feedback are more than welcome.

The flowing fabric is nicely done! I like that you can just catch a glimpse of the princess.

Oh wow! I really like your Aladdin stuff! Wierdly enough Aladdin looks like our siamese boy-kitty (always teasing our shorthaired oriental girl-kitty) ...

But anyhoo, the character-design on Aladdin is wonderful. You've combined in a great way the natural cat physics with slightly human-like physics. I likes!

i took a look a your blog.. Neat stuff.. i like the giraffe painting and your oil paintings. Id like to get into oil painting sometime but the thing is ive never really learnt anythign about the medium soo i have no clue where to start. Ive painted with acrylics and watercolours. IM not much of a acrylic fan. These days my medium of choice is pastel. Even though ive been using it for the last 3 years i have next to no clue what im doing STill lots to learn and figure out. ANwyays good luck with school, ill make sure to drop by once in a while to check out your stuff.
